Calsea Precalver mineral block is an ultra-high performance mineral block containing digestive aid. Low in calcium to reduce the risk of milk fever and reduce stress in cows, it includes copper and vitamins to optimise animal health and minimise incidences of retained cleanings at calving. Pre-calving is a critical time to ensure peak performance for the cow. Insufficient minerals, vitamins, and trace elements can cause retained placenta, metabolic disorders, weak lactation, and prolonged calving. This mineral block is rich in zinc, iodine, selenium, and vitamin E to reinforce the immune system before calving and contains magnesium with low calcium to prevent milk fever. It should be provided 8 weeks before calving. Milk fever is an expensive metabolic ailment caused by low calcium levels, accompanied by a dry muzzle, cold legs and ears, constipation, weakness, and fever.
